Mini Minds Matter partner with Dino Falls Adventure Golf to Champion Children's Mental Health
We’ve proudly partnered with Mini Minds Matter, a Bolton-based organisation, to make a difference to the mental health of young children.
Aligning with Children's Mental Health Week, and in a bid to promote mental wellness and mindfulness, Dino Falls Adventure Golf will introduce "Mini Mindful Moments" throughout the Jurassic-themed course. This Mini Minds Matter initiative encourages young adventurers to pause, reflect and engage in affirmations or simply soak in the sights and sounds as they navigate the prehistoric landscape.
Director of Golf, Pete Styles, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration: "At Dino Falls Adventure Golf, we believe in creating experiences that go beyond the game. Teaming up with Mini Minds Matter allows us to contribute to a cause that resonates with our commitment to creating positive experiences for children. By incorporating 'Mini Mindful Moments' into our course, we aim to provide not just a great day out but also moments of reflection for young minds."
But the collaboration doesn't stop there. In an effort to further support children's mental health, Dino Falls Adventure Golf and Mini Minds Matter are co-authoring a book featuring the adventures of "Wellasaurus" as he explores the jurassic-fantastic venue. This book aims to engage children in a captivating narrative while subtly introducing themes of mindfulness and mental well-being.
Julie Robinson and Mandy Worsley, co-founders of Mini Minds Matter expressed their gratitude for the collaboration: "We are thrilled to be partnering with Dino Falls Adventure Golf to promote mental wellbeing in children. With an event planned in March for our members, plus the exciting launch of a brand new book to add to our established series - we’re thrilled to be building on our mission to instil positive habits early on.”
Available to buy on Amazon and at Trafford Golf Centre, the home of Dino Falls Adventure Golf, it will be the 15th in a series of interactive story books complete with activity pages to keep little ones engaged and enable them to take a mini mindful moment in their day. Regarded as valuable resources for parents and educators, the books provide a creative and educational tool to initiate conversations about mental health with young children.
Mini Minds Matter works with primary schools, nurseries and independent practitioners such as childminders and more, to provide an innovative, dinosaur themed mindfulness programme. This programme is carried out in educational settings, incorporating the use of meditations, affirmations and more to embed a growth mindset in children from as young as birth. They have currently been commissioned and working alongside Bolton Council and have trained the Local Authority's family workers and NHS public health staff, in emotional regulation and support for families.
