Dino Falls Adventure Golf hosts ‘Dino-mite’ Proposal for Local Couple
We’re ROARING with excitement to share a truly ‘jurassic’ love story that unfolded at Dino Falls Adventure Golf! On 30th August 2024, Lance Dance, aged 39 from Stoke, and Laura Steadman, aged 33 from Manchester, stepped back onto the course where they had their first date in 2022 - and this time, Lance had something extra special planned…
The couple met on a dating app in 2022, and their first date was at Dino Falls. Sparks flew as they made their way around the prehistoric course, and under the glowing lights of the iconic Volcano, they shared their first kiss. Reflecting on that memorable day, Lance said: "Compared to other local mini golf spots, Dino Falls stood out to us. It’s outdoors, the dinosaurs are awesome, and the vibe with music and lighting during a summer sunset is just perfect."
Fast forward two years, and Dino Falls Adventure Golf has become a truly special place for the couple. So, when Lance decided to pop the question, there was no better spot than where it all began! With help from the Trafford Golf Centre events team, Lance crafted the perfect plan to propose to Laura inside the Volcano - complete with a guitar serenade and a surprise bottle of bubbly as the sun set over Manchester!
Director of Golf, Pete Styles said: "We LOVE date nights at Dino Falls, so when Lance reached out about his engagement plan, we were more than happy to help. He wanted to serenade Laura with a song he’d learned on his late grandmother’s guitar, so we made sure everything was hidden and ready inside the Volcano. We even had some bubbly on hand to celebrate once she said yes! It was a magical evening, and we’re so happy for them."
The evening was full of heartwarming moments. Lance not only got down on one knee, but he also scored several holes-in-one - something that hadn’t happened on any of their past visits! Laura, of course, said YES, and the happy couple completed their round with smiles (and bubbly) all around.
Reflecting on the proposal, Lance said, "I can’t thank Pete, Teresa, and the whole Dino Falls team enough. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From keeping my guitar safe to clearing the course for us to make it extra special, their empathy, care and professionalism meant the world to me. Teresa was even on hand to capture the moment on camera once Laura said yes!"
And the love doesn’t stop there! The couple now keeps their engagement bubbly bottles as candle holders for their cosy date nights at home—talk about a ‘tee-rific’ keepsake!
